The term Saint may not be as familiar among Pagans as it is other paths but we could find no equivalent word. A Saint is exceptionally virtuous. John A. Coleman S.J., Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, wrote that saints across various cultures and religions have the following family resemblances:
-
Exemplary Model
-
Extraordinary Teacher
-
Wonder Worker
-
Source of Benevolent Power
-
Intercessor
-
Selfless
-
Ascetic Behavior
-
Possessor of a Special and Revelatory Relation to the Holy
At Pagan House we "honor those who teach, respect those who share their greater knowledge and wisdom, and acknowledge those who have courageously given of themselves in leadership." To this end the Saints of Pagan House are presented.
