Name Number

To find your name number, convert the letters of your name to figures, using number-letter equivalents (see boxes below). You should work from the name you usually use, not necessarily your full, formal name. A person's name number tends to show acquired or developed traits, and unlike the birth number, it can of course be changed. It is considered ideal if a person's birth and name numbers coincide; this will reinforce the characteristics of the birth number, but in a harmonious way. If there is a serious mismatch between the two numbers, it may indicate inner conflicts that remain unresolved.
